Rounds & fundraising

What is Seed Round?

Early-stage financing - typically $500K-$5M - to validate product-market fit and reach early revenue milestones.

A seed round is the first significant outside investment a startup raises, usually after some pre-seed or angel money. Modern seeds run $500K-$5M, occasionally larger. They're priced (Series Seed Preferred stock) or unpriced (SAFEs/notes). Investors are typically seed funds, angels, and accelerators. The 'product' at this stage is the team plus a minimum viable product with early signals. Successful seeds graduate to Series A within 12-24 months.
